Phishing is a social engineering attack where adversaries impersonate trusted entities to trick people into revealing secrets, transferring money, or installing malware.
Real-World Example
An email claims your package is held and asks you to “confirm your address and card” on a lookalike website. Entering details hands them to criminals.
