About

A free educational reference for computing, cybersecurity, and digital literacy.

The Lungta Tech Glossary is a free, open educational reference for computing, cybersecurity, internet, artificial intelligence, and digital literacy — presented in English with Tibetan and Chinese translations.

Technology vocabulary shapes who can participate in digital life. Clear definitions and real-world examples help learners build confidence without jargon gatekeeping.

Tibetan renderings are credited when known. Some lemmas follow established IT terminology; others are Lungta editorial choices or adapted working translations from community expertise. When no sound Tibetan equivalent is ready, we keep N/A rather than inventing weak calques.

What we value

  • Multilingual by design

Every term includes English, Tibetan, and Chinese — with room for pronunciation and aliases.

  • Calm, premium reading

Inspired by MDN and Apple Developer docs: generous spacing, clear hierarchy, and subtle Tibetan accents.

  • Built to grow

Content collections, static hosting, and a structure ready for audio, quizzes, Workers APIs, and D1.

Want to help? Visit the contribute pageor leave a comment under any term — a display name is enough, no email. Thumb up a rendering you agree with; the editor still reviews before it enters the glossary. Community shows who wrote and when. The GitHub repository is not public yet.
